3 Pantone Colour of the Year Rugs for Your Home
Published: January 3, 2020
“Instilling calm, confidence and connection. This enduring blue hue highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.”
The global powerhouse that is Pantone and its much-anticipated Colour of the Year award was announced at the end of 2019. We’re pretty happy about it, to say the least. Classic Blue, as the name suggests, looks beyond trends and fads- meaning that any inclusion of the hue in your home should be long-lasting. From small accessories and interchangeable items to bolder applications like cabinetry or wall paint, there’s a way to inject this colour into your own home.
Australian interiors are fond of a neutral palette so a gorgeous Classic Blue cushion or rug can be exactly what is required to warm a room, create interest and add some colour and texture.
Here are three of our favourite Classic Blue rugs from the collection to bring your home up to date.
Mirage – Navy Moroccan 358
Perfect for unusually shaped spaces, entry-ways, studies and play areas- a round rug creates a dynamic feel to a room. This gorgeous rug in the year’s hottest colour will be loved for many years to come.
Zanzibar – 761 Navy
Ok, so not all blue, but this stunner will transform any space requiring a lift, whether it be colour, texture or pattern that’s lacking. It would work well in so many spaces, but it particularly shines here where it takes centre stage.
Atrium Jute Polo Navy
Blending the trending colour with the natural fibres of jute, Atrium is the perfect accompaniment to casual living. Inject a bit of classic blue into coastal homes, meals areas, kid’s spaces or entryways.
