EPISODE 1: Claremont, QLD
Paige’s fiancé, Brandan, brought this three-bedroom house with a friend at the height of the mining boom in 2009. At the time rent was hyperinflated so the pair decided to go 50/50 in purchasing a property.The property served them well while they were completing their diesel fitter apprenticeship. However, in 2012 the mining companies introduced the fly in fly out working arrangement and the local housing boom come to an end.
When the boys came to sell the property, they realised the bottom had fallen out of the market. To try and simplify the situation, Paige brought out Brandan’s friend, so they now have joint responsibility of the debt. After 10 years on the market and several price decreases, the couple are now desperate to offload the property so they can start a new life with their two young children.

EPISODE 2: Graystanes, NSW

They are desperate to sell so they can move down to Canberra to be closer to their family… Unfortunately, they haven’t had a lot of luck selling.The home itself could be something from a museum, it’s like a preserved time capsule of design history.
Floral wallpaper, green carpet tiles and a pastel bathroom, what’s not to love? Instead of home improvements over the years the couple decided to spend their money elsewhere on travel and priceless life experiences. Their decisions against renovating however have backfired.

EPISODE 3: REDLAND BAY, QLD
In 2004, Andrew and Caryl purchased land and built their forever home in Redland Bay. Twenty years down the track, they are left with no other option than to sell their home to avoid bankruptcy.They never had any intention of selling and their property wasn’t even on the market. However, Andrew’s business took a huge financial hit which resulted in having to close the company and being left with substantial debt repayments.
They have been working around the clock to try and save their home. Close friends of Andrew and Caryl reached out to the Selling Houses team for help and set the goal of selling the house for the highest price possible.
This could very much make the difference between the couple having to declare bankruptcy or not.

EPISODE 6: Maroubra,NSW
Romano and his wife Iris moved to Australia from Italy over 30 years ago, and in 2010 settled in Maroubra. When the home was put on the market in 2018, it was quickly snapped up by a developer, but this deal later fell through. Romano then sadly lost his wife of over 50 years and was left living alone in a home that felt too big for one. Romano’s daughters Eliana and Andrea have been on hand to help, and Eliana moved in, along with her husband, to care for Romano.The family worries about the stairs and differing levels of the house, and thinks their Dad needs to let go of the house in order to move onto the next chapter of his life.
It has been a heartbreaking two years for the family. They know the home is tired, old-fashioned and needs fixing up, but Romano is disillusioned in thinking that Eliana and Andrea can do all the work.
They can’t renovate the house by themselves and desperately need the help of the Selling Houses team. A sale would mean the family could find a new home which is more comfortable for Romano, where they all can live.

Deb, her daughter, and her husband, at the time, had been living in their perfect 3-bedroom family home on acreage complete with horse stables in a suburb in the city of Ipswich.A few years ago, Deb’s life changed dramatically when her husband told her he wanted to separate. Deb and her daughter, Vivica, moved out of the family home while her ex-husband lived and maintained the property… or so she thought.
Over the last couple of years, the state of the property has diminished. After the ex-husband moved out Deb wanted to sell the property so she could finally split her asset and part ways with her ex… Although It’s been a nightmare to sell and after 8 months on the market and not a lot of interest Deb needs the help of the Selling Houses Australia professionals!

Gareth and Esther were ready to hit the road and follow their dream of travelling around the world in their converted bus.Until that is, they were hit with the rather large problem of not being able to sell their rather large home. The 8-bedroom property on a desirable street in a beautiful suburb just outside of Sydney didn’t attract even one registered bidder.
Gareth and Esther, self-proclaimed retired Carnies, just couldn’t understand why no one was interested in their home! The large amusement rides parked up at the front of the house might have had something to do with it.

The Terrigal housing market has taken off over the last year and it’s obvious why, stunning beaches, wonderful lifestyle and still within an hours drive of Sydney CBD. Who wouldn’t want to move there? Houses are selling fast… except for Grant’s. Our homeowner has not had much luck trying to get his house sold.It offers ocean views, four bedrooms and a pool… however, it is lacking a bathroom… walls… and parts of the ceiling. Grant is desperate for the Selling Houses Team to help him with his house of half-done jobs, selling this house will mean that he will be able to look after his mother and purchase a smaller house for them both.

The house has been on the market for over a year and was passed in at auction with no bids. Mary and Tom have no idea why their house is so undervalued, as they believe it’s well built. The agent feels the property could do with updating and that potential buyers are put off by the completely concreted backyard!
