Do You Have Product That Is Australian Made?Some Australian manufacturers carry Australian made certification, if so a label will be displayed on samples instore.
Which Flooring Product Is Environmentally Friendly?Ask your local Flooring Xtra store about the ECS label which is an environmental scheme for carpets. It provides a guide to the environmental performance of certified carpets throughout the full product cycle.The scheme has 4 certification levels with incrementally more demanding performance criteria. Which Product Is Soft?Carpet is the ultimate for providing softness underfoot and we have a huge variety of styles, colours and fibres! Learn more about carpet fibres and styles by picking here.

What Product Won’t Show Stains?Some carpet fibres are particularly resilient to stains, such as solution dyed nylon. Darker coloured flooring may hide stains more than the lighter styles.

What Is The Best Product For Kids?The best product for kids is hard wearing, easy to clean, superior appearance retention. Most Solution Dyed Nylon products would be suitable i.e. Soul Elements, Stainmaster
What Is The Best Product To Put In A Rental Property?As a general rule we would suggest carpets like Tarlo River and Pepperbush Tree. You may consider sheet vinyl, Fast Fit vinyl planks or Impressions Essential Laminate.
Pricing
Carpet is normally bought in widths of 3.66 metres – referred to as broadloom metres. In this website pricing is shown in square metres to help you compare with other floor coverings, which are also priced in square metres to keep things simple.

What Is Better, Wool Or Synthetic?Each fibre type has its own feature and benefits, to determine what is best for you discuss with your Flooring Xtra representative.
Will The Colour Fade?Depending on the fibre type; check product warranty for colour fade information. Australian UV light is very damaging to textile flooring products, be sure to discuss specific requirements for your application with your Flooring Xtra representative.
What Does Stain Resistant Mean?Stain resistance does not mean stain proof; the level of stain resistance depends on the type of carpet, the quality of its coating and its age.
There are care guidelines available on for each product to help with how the spill should be dealt with. Refer to the Flooring Xtra website or your store representative.
A warranty is a voluntary promise offered by the person or business who sold the product or service to you.
Flooring Xtra offers a lifetime installation warranty.
The Flooring Xtra Lifetime Installation Warranty offers consumers peace of mind. All Flooring Xtra stores promise to fully guarantee their installations against faulty workmanship.
The goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any reasonable foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Product warranties vary depending on the nature and type of product and should be discussed with your Flooring Xtra store representative.

What Board Width Should I Choose? Which Direction Will The Boards Go? What Board Patterns/Configurations Option Are There?Each configuration, style and size lends itself to a different look and feel and should be just as much a consideration as the type of timber or stain. What Is The Difference Between The Hard Flooring Options?There are solid timber boards, engineered floating boards, laminate and Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) / Tile (LVT). Click on this link to learn more about each option

Vinyl
Essentially yes it is, what was historically referred to as lino or linoleum is essentially what we call sheet vinyl now. Our product range Avenue is part of our sheet vinyl range.
What Is LVT?Luxury Vinyl Tile, is a flooring option that has the natural look of stone or ceramic flooring with exceptional durability, comfort and warmth and ease of maintenance. Our range Knight Tile is an example of such flooring.
LVP is Luxury Vinyl Plank, as with LVT, LVP has all the same features and benefits with regards to durability, comfort and easy maintenance, however comes in a long plank format and has the natural look of timber. Our range Paramount range is an example of the authentic looking product.
Underlay
It enhances the longevity of carpet, by absorbing impact. Underlay provides acoustic benefits by reducing noise transfer for under hard flooring.
