For the new Season 14, Real Estate Guru Andrew is joined by two new faces – determined to use their skills to sell the unsellable as they face a booming, but erratic property market. “Australia’s housing market has never been this hot,” says Andrew Winter. “So, if you can’t sell right now, you’re in big trouble!”

EPISODE 1: Mt. Gambier, SA
How good was the first episode of Selling Houses Australia?!The team kicked off the season with a bang by venturing down to Mt Gambier in South Australia to meet with homeowners, Wendy and Tony.
This was a HUGE project, modernising a large house on a small budget!
Silva Ridge Bingara Oak was used throughout the entrance, formal dining and lounge, kitchen, casual dining, family room and loungeroom to replace the run-down flooring. Wendy and Tony had spent a fortune on black granite when building their dream home; however, it had seen its day and was ready for an update!
The bedrooms and long hallway were brought back to life with the installation of new carpet. The neutral colouring of Grand Isles Mountain Top complemented the minimalistic space whilst the textured construction added some interest.
The Selling Houses Australia team did a fantastic job transforming this home from the floors up!

EPISODE 2: Jindabyne, NSW
Episode two of selling houses australia did NOT disappoint! This week, the team travelled to Jindabyne, NSW, to meet with Steve.
His home was built over a century ago and was originally the old Moonbah School.
This historic home was perfect for a rustic interior, so the team got to work updating the entry way, kitchen and living area using a laminate flooring, Dundee Pitkerro. The laminate replicates a dark timber grain, creating a cosy atmosphere.
In the bedroom, the Flooring Xtra team installed the hardy New Zealand wool carpet, Trembel Storm. As a natural insulator, wool carpet was the obvious choice for this space to add some much needed warmth on those snowy nights.
Functional and beautiful, this transformation is ready to home happy travellers during their winter holiday!

Wow…what an episode!Homeowners, Fernanda and Carlos, and Roberta and Thiago, were keen to get their property on the market so they can split the profit and take the next step toward owning their own homes.
A lot of work went into this week’s transformation, from re-arranging the layout of the house to utilising interior styling to create a mid-century, Palm Springs aesthetic.
The @sellinghousesau team, breathed new life into the Cabana / Pool Room by installing AquaLife Tamar Valley Oak flooring. As a hybrid flooring solution, this product is waterproof and perfect for wet areas.
We loved this fresh and functional choice of flooring!

EPISODE 4: Denistone, NSW
There is nothing more important than family and this week’s episode of selling houses australia was the perfect reminder of that!Sisters, Sue and Jan, wanted to rent out their family home to fund their father’s nursing home fee’s. But before they could do that, their home needed some serious TLC!
Their father built the home in the 1950s so wendy moore decided to pay respect to its heritage and embrace its retro features.
The flooring was refreshed throughout the home with the installation of Hinterland Longboard Copper Spotted Gum. Whilst their choice of hybrid flooring was practical, it also offered a natural tone and textured appearance that complemented the retro décor.
Aegean Isle Imia carpet was installed in the bedrooms for its wonderful softness, durability and fade and stain resistance. This product can be spot cleaned with just water making it a practical choice for a rental property, whilst the choice of colour contributed to the retro feel of the home.

EPISODE 5: Penola, SA
When the team at selling houses australia heard that homeowners, Rob and Robyn, had been trying to sell their home for over a DECADE, they knew they had to step in to lend a hand! The team ventured down to South Australia’s beautiful wine-region, Penola, to kickstart this transformation and sell the unsellable.
The old, mismatched carpets had to go and were replaced with AquaSmart + Silvertop Ash Hybrid flooring throughout the house to create flow. The sandy tone of the flooring blended into the neutral colour scheme that wendy mooree had incorporated.
Aribiana Limestone was chosen for its soft yet chunky texture as it added interest to the flooring without distracting from the main attraction. In the bedrooms, the beige coloured carpet worked beautifully with the light and bright décor and allowed the aqua feature walls to POP!

EPISODE 6: LINDFIELD, NSW
Did you know that Flooring Xtra also sells an extensive range of rugs? This week’s episode of selling houses australia, showcased a variety of our gorgeous designs in the home of Princess and Paul. Whilst the selling market in Sydney is HOT, the homeowners thought they would try their luck to sell. Unfortunately, they have been standing idly by whilst SOLD signs have been popping up all around them.
The selling houses Australia team created a light and bright colour scheme throughout the home with a plethora of rugs to add texture and comfort to the interior design.
With so many rugs in the home to choose from, we struggled to pick a favourite to share but couldn’t go past the living room!
Our Bondi White rug, paired with the Atrium Jute Polo, pulled the room together by adding texture and pattern without making the space feel too busy. Perfect for creating a relaxing atmosphere in the living area of the home.

EPISODE 7: URUNGA, NSW
We are OBSESSED with this week’s transformation! After a couple of hard years, homeowners Bernhard and Debbie, needed a helping hand to finish their home’s renovation and get it on the market.
Their riverside home was overflowing with potential and wendy Moore knew what needed to be done to increase its value.
By creating a fourth bedroom and stylish wet bar, the two levels of the home become self-contained and much more practical.
The whole home looked incredible, but the lower floor dining room really caught our eye! The minimalistic furniture paired beautifully with our oversized Noosa 222 rug, creating a simplistic yet fresh feel. The added greenery was the perfect finishing touch. Balancing the natural pop of colour with the neutral tone of the space.

EPISODE 8: CHIFLEY, NSW
What a way to finish season 14 of selling houses australia!Whilst the property may not look like anything special from the outside, never judge a book by its cover!
Homeowners, Michelle and Garry, purchased this dual living property 20 years ago as an investment, but like so many others, COVID caused them financial struggles as their tenants could no longer pay their rent. The goal was to put the property on the market but due to its rundown state, it was in desperate need of a renovation.
The team opened up the space by removing the wall between the kitchen and living room, connecting these spaces with the rest of the house. The mismatched flooring was replaced with Integral White Shadow laminate to create a seamless flow throughout the new larger space.
To add a touch of luxury to the bedrooms, 100% New Zealand wool carpet was selected. The loop pile texture of Matheson Tweed Wild Dove added elegance and interest, whilst the grey tones complemented the hard flooring throughout the rest of the home.
The selection of flooring worked as a neutral base for the bold colour scheme and statement furniture pieces that were featured throughout the home.
From beginning to end this season has been a pleasure to watch and we are so proud to be a part of transforming these families homes.
